Yesterday, Amber wrote a post about the house being framed and today we have a video for you to watch! We wanted to give you guys a better feel for the house and floor plan and what better way to do that than putting our goofy mugs on video!
This is our first video so please cut us a bit of slack. Here are a few of my observations on the process:
- The volumes are wacky, yes we know. We don’t have an external mic, just whatever came through to the tiny one built into the camera. Picking up Amber’s voice was sketchy at times.
- Talking while shooting video and checking focus is difficult and I’m not very good at it.
- No matter how old you get, listening to your own voice is unnervingly painful.
With all that said, we hope you guys enjoy! Let us know what you think!
In case you’re wondering Amber is 34 weeks at this point.
That was really cool! I thought I’d be lost and confused, but I actually followed along really well. Thank god for all that time in habitat looking at framed houses! I think it is going to be awesome! I love the arches!
Haha thanks! I was curious to see how it would translate on video. It’s always easier for us to follow since we know the space so well. It helps that the plywood is on the outside. You can get a better feel when you aren’t looking at only 2x4s on each level.
The view from that balcony is amazing! It’s fun to see your house evolve from paper into something tangible. It is a great layout. I’m really excited to see more of it come together. And Amber, you are absolutely gorgeous! Love the video
she is quite the looker isn’t she?
It looks so great. Almost move in ready If there was a contest in floor plan design you would take home first place, hands down.
We actually entered one Katja… we only got runner-up
Completely fabulous! The views from upstairs are amazing. Love all of the thought you’ve put into built-ins etc… I think that is so hard to visualize before building, but you two have clearly nailed it. Next time we build, I will pay you to fly here and help us dream up all of those details.
Haha thanks Jessica! I have a better idea…why don’t you just build down here. We will waive all our consulting fees. 😉 There are a few lots left in our neighborhood. I could really go for your block parties.
This is so exciting!! (now to finish watching the video…)
Love,
May
You know you can walk through in real life anytime May! 😉
Awesome video guys! Magnificent home. That great room is spectacular. I bet you’re looking forward to watching the Eagles crush the Cowboys on your big screen once that room is finished 😉
Well, if you have to watch the cowboys lose, you might as well enjoy the space you’re in
