Sometimes I just want to share things. Things that I obsess about/have/want/need/etc. Enter this post aptly named Weekend Wants. Not that this is a thing around here, but it’s today because these were on my mind last night. I think they need to be on your mind too. (No one is paying me to brainwash you today. I just felt like it.)
1. Threshold Task Lamp – It’s no secret that we send our kids to school just so we can spend hours at Target looking, touching, and drooling over all the things. Target is killing it in home decor. Always. Just another example of greatness from the bullseye.
2. Veronica Mars – All 3 seasons of your favorite high school PI are on Amazon Instant Video. What does this mean? Um I’ve watched hours (and HOURS) of Veronica Mars. I forgot how much I love that show. So much. Bonus if you have HBO Go the Veronica Mars movie is on there! I watched the movie and didn’t get any of the references/remember the characters which made me realize my life is empty and I needed to relive 2004-2007. THEN rewatch the movie. Followed by a massive social media campaign to harass Rob Thomas into another kickstarter for Veronica Mars 2.
3. Anne of Green Gables, Little Women, Heidi, A Little Princess (affiliate links) – You know we love Rifle Paper collaborations, so Anna Bond + Classic Literature equals heaven. I am beyond excite that Puffin offers these books in hardback. They will be such great styling pieces in a little girl’s room! I ordered the last Puffin collaboration (Puffin in Chalk) with Dana Tanamachi, but it only came in paperback.
4. Cheetah Flats – I bought these flats at Old Navy a few weekends ago for $7.50. Did I just blow your mind? Yes. Yes I did. They don’t have them online anymore, but here’s a sand and black option. Go check your local Old Navy for the cheetah ones though.
5. DIY Brass Hanging Planter – Anu is insanely talented, and this hanging planter shows up in my dreams at night. Okay that might be a bit dramatic, but I do have a spot that needs 3 of these. I can’t look at it without immediately thinking about this tutorial. Must. Make.
Have a great weekend!
so many things i now want, too. geesh.
Thus begins the weekend.
oh, those puffin books are great! and, of course, anu’s planter. if only one didn’t have to keep an actual plant alive in order to use them….
That’s exactly what I tell myself every time I get sad about not having made it yet!
Oh, I am ready to obsess about Veronica Mars with you! I finished watching it for the first time around April, and I’ve shown great restraint in not constantly rewatching it back to back to back ever since. LoVe.
And of course I love the other things you featured too! But apparently gorgeous decor takes back seat when my favorite shows are on the table. (Mixing metaphors like white on rice!)
Have you seen the movie yet? I have 2 more episodes left until I’m done with the series. I’m shocked at how little I remember from 10 years ago when I watched it on live tv (feeling old) and how many people guest starred in it!
Yes. I loved the show so much more though. I didn’t like that so much time had passed – it felt so weird! But then, I pretty much watched the show and movie back to back so it was more jarring for me.
Yeah that is going to be weird!
Oh they had similar flats like that at JCP for $20 too. Almost bought them but was afraid my too ties would get cold here very soon in our frigid winters.
But you’ve got fall and spring!! Every pair of leopard flats I’ve ever had get worn out. I just can’t quit them.
I LOVE Veronica Mars, I watched all of the Amazon seasons a while back and bought the movie which I know I’ve watched about 5 times. Starting this month is a fun little web series with all of the characters… http://cwseed.com/shows/play-it-again-dick/
Oh my gosh crazy!! I heard that Dick was going to do a spin off. Kristen Bell can do no wrong in my book. Absolutely love her!
I always love task lights, and this one is fab. But here’s the thing? Why do I need a task light? I never use it. I just sold three of them, because I have no tasks that need a light. I’m on a lamp purging mission. They are all bothering me.
I’m sorry – I just had to get this off my chest.
Like this feature. Mostly because you are so much cooler than me that it helps me stay in the know with the cool kids.
I have only used a task lamp when my craft room was actually just a corner of my bedroom, and I couldn’t turn on the light because Nick was sleeping (or attempting to sleep over the sound of my sewing). I was thinking about this one for a nightstand. I would use it then, but agree for a desk it’s pretty much worthlessly beautiful.
I am definitely not cooler than you. I think I demonstrated that pretty clearly at Haven! 😉
Love these picks. Anu’s planter is so lovely! And you might have just talked me into watching an episode of Veronica Mars. *I can hear you gasping right now* – yes I have never watched it.
Well block off a huge chunk of time because you might become addicted. It’s about 45 minutes per episode, 22 episodes per season, and 3 seasons + 1 movie.
Love VM! That’s like half of my college years right there lol
Mine too! I guess I watched it when Nick was in class because it wasn’t a show we watched together.
VM was one of my favourites too. I felt the same way about the movie (should have rewatched some of the episodes beforehand). That lamp and those books have been catching my eye lately. Thanks so much for sharing my planter – that’s so nice!
Of course the planter is so incredible! I love it!
Must have those shoes!
I’ve never seen Veronica Mars, but now I’m intrigued…
Ashley!!!! Your life is not complete!! You must partake in the early 00’s teen drama or you’ve just never lived.
Oh my GOSH! Most beautiful copy of Anne of Green Gables I’ve ever seen – and I live in Prince Edward Island! I even visited Green Gables over the weekend. Thanks for sharing!
Anna Bond is such an incredible talent! All the books have beautifully illustrated!
Yes my mind is officially blown because I love any type of animal print on shoes and I love them even more if they were only $7.50:)
I know ridiculously cheap! I couldn’t believe it.
